All products listed on the web site can be delivered anywhere in the United Kingdom, the European Union and other countries of Western Europe. The following countries are included in our definition of Western Europe: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Republic of Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland, San Marino.
We also deliver to the United States of America,Canada, Asia and Australasia. We will not deliver to Africa, and may not deliver to other places when we suspect fraud, before receipt of cleared UK funds. Any credit cards must be registered to a UK address and any cheques must be drawn on UK bank branches of UK banks before we will deliver in these cases.
Please be aware that the prices shown on the website are for UK customers. Additional postage costs will be charged for other areas. You will be able to see details when you order from the site or when we send you a price to supply a book you have asked us about.
Order Size and Security Checks.
We restrict order size to orders which would be considered to be for personal use except for legitimate large buyers such as companies and schools. If you are placing a large order you should email us at bulk@alltopbooks.com where you have headed notepaper available. However, we reserve the right to require payment of full order cost including shipping charge in advance from these customers. Payment must be by UK credit card or sterling bankers draft for countries outside Europe, North America and Australasia. This is because of the large number of fraudulent traders using these countries. We sincerely apologise to our many genuine customers in these countries and ask for their understanding.
We reserve the right to refuse any order that we feel may have been placed fraudulently. Before shipping any order we may carry out any number of security checks, including, but not restricted to Electoral Roll address check, telephone number check, credit card processing checks. We may also carry out random telephone checks prior to shipping. These checks are necessary to keep our prices down.
Packaging Used.
All deliveries will be securely packaged, and should arrive in good condition. We take care to ensure that all shipments are packaged appropriately.
Delivery Times.
UK delivery - Orders in stock are dispatched next working day by Royal Mail (less than 1kg) or TNT in the UK, and by Royal Mail International overseas. Orders which are not currently in stock will be ordered from our suppliers and sent by the same methods on arrival at the supplier.
If we think it will take more than 5 working days for your book to reach our warehouse from our normal suppliers, we will try to obtain it elsewhere for you. If we do this, on the day we receive it we can offer next day UK AM courier delivery at an extra charge of 14 (for books more than 1kg weight) or guaranteed next working day delivery (for books less than 1kg). See "Expedited delivery options" on the home page for details.
Europe -please allow 5 days for orders of 50 or over and for other orders please allow up to 8 days for delivery. In all cases, if these times are likely to be exceeded, we will inform you by email.
For other countries please allow up to 15 working days for delivery.
Where we are supplying the books ourselves, we do not charge your credit card until we are ready to ship your order. If we are asking publishers to send books to you direct we will place your order at the time your credit card is charged (as does Amazon.co.uk Marketplace). Any such charge to your credit card will be regarded as a prepayment under the terms of the Safebuy scheme. This means it is kept in a separate, ring fenced fund from which you will be refunded if we cease to trade.
